CNN’s Chris Cuomo exposed Nancy Pelosi and her hypocritical position on the all last night, probably terrifying CNN’s viewers.
The fight over the wall is not really about the wall – we have hundreds of miles of wall and surely we could use more in certain strategic places.
The fight is over Trump and his presidency – Trump has had a very successful first two years and heading into the election Pelosi wants to break Trump.
She wants to damage him politically while protecting her own hide from a rebellion from the left.
Shocking, on CNN of all places, Chris Cuomo finally cut through Pelosi’s BS and told the left the straight facts. Hopefully, they will listen.
“Look, here’s the reality. You’ve got barriers along that thing all over the place. They need more.”
Correct, this is common sense. He continued,
“I believe the men and women who keep us safe and their assessment that barriers help and they need more of it.
So the Democrats should say, “Fine. More barriers. Okay. Let’s talk about where, how much and why,” not, “No wall, not a dollar for your damn wall.” Don’t say that because you don’t mean it and it puts you in a hole.
“When someone says it, say, well, that was already in the works,” Lemon interjected. “That is part of deals that were made years and decades ago.”
“That’s what we were doing, and we will continue to do that, and we can make it better. But we should not sit here and pretend that there have been no efforts in the past to build a barrier on the southern border.”
“I agree,” responded Cuomo. “But the Democrats put themselves in a hole when they say no money for the wall.
They’re not giving themselves credit for the money they have put in, for what is really the wall, for the fencing. So there’s politics at play on both sides, but the president put us in a shutdown. He pushed it too far,” he added.
This is not the first time Cuomo has rebuked Pelosi over the wall – he caused some controversy with these remarks earlier this month:
“Let’s just get something straight for the audience right now because this is one of those things that’s literally been bothering me — almost ruined my vacation,” Cuomo asserted. “There is a barrier system all along the southern border. They need more.”
“Anybody who does the reporting, anybody who talks to the people down there doing the work — the men and women — they need more of what the president is increasingly describing as his own idea for a bollard fence,” Cuomo said.
