Ilhan Omar’s summer of discontent just got worse. Omar knows that Congress returns from their very long vacation very soon and when it does she will be under the microscope.

She will not be able to doge the lingering questions over her personal life and she may even have to formally answer questions as the legality of her actions.

Look, this is serious stuff. She already has one FEC complaint lodged against her and now she has another one to contend with. From Judicial Watch:

Judicial Watch has filed an official complaint with the Office of Congressional Ethics about Rep. Ilhan Omar potential violations of law,

Substantial and compelling evidence has been uncovered that Rep. Omar may have committed the following crimes: perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, state and federal tax fraud, and federal student loan fraud.

In the words of investigative reporter David Steinberg: “The facts describe perhaps the most extensive spree of illegal misconduct committed by a House member in American history.”

That is why we are calling upon the Office of Congressional Ethics to immediately launch an investigation in Rep. Omar’s conduct!

From The New York Post:

A Washington, DC, mom says her political-consultant husband left her for Rep. Ilhan Omar, according to a bombshell divorce filing obtained by The Post.

Dr. Beth Jordan Mynett says her cheating spouse, Tim Mynett, told her in April that he was having an affair with the Somali-born US representative and that he even made a “shocking declaration of love” for the Minnesota congresswoman before he ditched his wife, alleges the filing, submitted in DC Superior Court on Tuesday.

The physician, 55, and her 38-year-old husband — who has worked for left-wing Democrats such as Omar and her Minnesota predecessor, Keith Ellison — have a 13-year-old son together.

The 37-year-old congresswoman and mom of three paid Tim Mynett and his E. Street Group approximately $230,000 through her campaign since 2018 for fundraising consulting, digital communications, internet advertising and travel expenses.

The physician is also seeking full control of the couple’s DC home, child support and legal fees to be paid by Tim Mynett, according to the filing.

From The Daily Mail:

He previous worked as national finance director for former Minnesota congressman Keith Ellison, whose seat Omar took over when he ran for Attorney General.

Federal Election Commission records show Omar’s team began paying Mynett’s DC-based firm in August of 2018, splashing out $62,500 by the end of 2018.

Payments continued into 2019, with $5,000, $10,000 and $12,000 chunks being shelled out every month, totaling just over $253,000 in a single year.

Mynett has traveled with Omar all over the country in recent months with pictures appearing of them side-by-side in New York City, Austin and Seattle as well as Los Angeles.
