ABC’s George Stephanopoulos Grills Adam Schiff For Making Up Quotes from President Trump’s Call

ABC’s George Stephanopoulos had Adam Schiff on his Sunday show and it did not go well for Adam.

Schiff has come under immense pressure after he got busted fabricating quotes from Trump in front of Congress in what he said was a parody.

Well, it not only fell flat, it backfired with Trump calling for his resignation. Stephanopoulos, never a friend of the GOP, asked Adam a simple question – why make up quotes f the call as so bad?

Adam dodged the question as he often does. Rudy Giuliani was on another Sunday show and flat out said he would not comply with the House subpoenas if Adam Schiff, who he called biased, was leading the investigation.

President Trump for his part has demanded Adam immediately resign from Congress for making up quotes he said before Congress.

But Trump didn’t stop there – he wants Schiff to be investigated.  Look, Adam didn’t do this to the media or to dupe his supporters into donating to his campaign -he did this in front of Congress and the nation.

“It’s a shame that we started off this hearing with fictional remarks. The implication of a conversation that took place between a president and a foreign leader putting words into it that did not exist. They were not in the transcript,” said Brad Wenstrup as he called out Adam Schiff in front of Congress.

“And I would contend that they were intentionally not clear and the chairman described it as parody and I don’t believe this is the time or the place for parody when we are seeking facts,” he added.

Schiff admitted to the dirty deed after being called out but it was not enough for Trump.

“My summary of the president’s call was meant to be at least, part, in parody. The fact that that’s not clear is a separate problem in and of itself. Of course, the president never said, ‘If you don’t understand me I’m going to say it seven more times,’ my point is, that’s the message that the Ukraine president was receiving in not so many words,” Schiff said.

Enter President Trump: “Rep. Adam Schiff totally made up my conversation with Ukraine President and read it to Congress and Millions. He must resign and be investigated. He has been doing this for two years. He is a sick man.”
