Ben Carson Defends Trump From Attack By Christianity Today Editor: ‘God’s Providence’ Trump Elected POTUS

Ben Carson has come forward to defend President Trump from a left-field attack from a retiring editor at Christianity Today.

The magazine came out in favor of Trump’s impeachment and caused an immediate backlash among Christians across America.

I know @realDonaldTrump. He is a good, caring man, and someone that puts our country’s trust in God. He understands the rights of every American come from our Creator.

I believe God’s providence was very much part of him becoming our Commander-in-Chief, and he understands the importance of making sure our Judeo-Christian values remain the core component of our country’s foundation.

Men and women of faith should be praying for our President @realDonaldTrump , not casting stones.

Christianity Today Editor-in-Chief Mark Galli defended himself today on the Sunday shows.

“My argument is not to judge him as a person in the eyes of God — that’s not my job — but to judge his public moral character and to ask, has he gone so far that the evangelical constituency that we represent, can we in good conscience do the trade-off anymore?” Galli said.

“He gives us what we need on pro-life, but he’s got this bad character. And the fundamental argument I’m making is we crossed a line somewhere in the impeachment hearings, at least in my mind, that that balance no longer works.”

“None of us are perfect. We’re not looking for saints,” Galli continued, adding that “a president has certain responsibilities as a public figure to display a certain level of public character and public morality.”
