Joe Biden Will Refuse To Appear Voluntarily As Witness in Senate Impeachment Trial

Joe Biden is nervous. He knows what is coming and it will be very unpleasant for him and his family. Hunter Biden will face the music and Joe will have to as well.

Because the GOP controlled Senate will hold a vastly different impeachment spectacle as the House Dems did.

In the Senate, Trump will be allowed to defend himself and Joe and Hunter Biden will be key witnesses.

Hunter and Joe will have to explain their foreign business dealings and with Hunter already admitting his name and connections got him the Burisma job, he will have a weak defense indeed.

The issue will be corruption and Trump is on record as wanting to drain the swamp so this will play skillfully into his campaign promise while setting him up for the 2020 election.

Biden was just asked by the intrepid Peter Doocy if he will cooperate and appear in the Senate trial when he is called.

His answer is kind of shocking for someone who has nothing to hide – no.

From Fox News:

Former vice president and 2020 Democratic front-runner Joe Biden told Fox News’ Peter Doocy Wednesday that if called by the Senate to testify in President Trump’s impeachment trial, he would not voluntarily appear.

“The White House is now saying that if there is a Senate impeachment trial they might like to call you as a witness. Is that something where you would appear voluntarily?” Doocy asked Biden as he continued his “No Malarkey” campaign tour, making a stop in Iowa on the first day of the public House Judiciary Committee hearing back in Washington, D.C.

“No, I’m not going to let them take their eye off the ball,” Biden said. “The president is the one who has committed impeachable crimes, and I’m not going to let him divert from that and I’m not going to let anyone divert from that…

… “You’ve heard me say a lot of times, he’s worried about corruption,” Biden said of Trump. “I’ve released 21 years of my tax returns — [have] him release some of his.”
