In another bad sign for the Democrats, they just lost a key special election in Kentucky. The GOP candidate, Richard White, flipped a Kentucky House seat red for the first time in 33 years.
“BIG WIN in Kentucky House District 99. It’s a district Democrats held for 33 YEARS, where Democrats outnumber Republicans by double digits, and one the Democrat governor carried in 2019. But tonight, Republicans flipped the seat!” said Ronna McDaniel.
“Richard White has won the special election in Rowan County for the vacant 99th district Kentucky House Seat.
White will replace longtime Representative Rocky Adkins, who resigned his seat when appointed as Senior Advisor to Governor Andy Beshear.
With 100% of precincts reporting White won with 4,750 votes to Redwine’s 3,731.
Redwine won Rowan County, 2,549 votes to White’s 2,040 votes
White has won in Lewis County by a vote of 2,056 to 394.
Redwine won Elliott county 788 to 654.
If current totals are certified, White will take up the seat in the House immediately.”
The Democrats are reeling from a very unpopular top of the ticket heading into the most critical election of our times.
President Trump knows this and celebrated the news and took a shot at the media: “Big Story, Big Win – Except in the Fake News, which won’t cover it!”
