Nancy Pelosi Accuses Republicans of ‘Official Malfeasance’ With Their Arrogant Response To Crisis

“The Republicans’ continued surrender to the virus — particularly amid the recent wave of cases — is official malfeasance,” Mrs. Pelosi wrote in a letter to Democrats.

“We must come to an agreement as soon as possible. But we cannot accept the Administration’s refusal to crush the virus, honor our heroes or put money in the pockets of the American people.”

“Unless we have a national plan for testing, tracing, treatment, mask-wearing, social distancing and other science-based steps to crush the virus and combat the disparities facing communities of color, we cannot safely reopen our schools and economy.

“In all of our legislation, we have stressed the importance of testing, but the Administration has never followed through.

She also ripped White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows’ comments about not being able to “control the pandemic,” citing it as an example of the administration’s “arrogance.”

“That attitude clearly explains why the White House has not embraced the science-based path to crush the virus, which is contained in the Heroes Act,” she wrote.
